Brandon & Bryn Heeter Wedding

10/18/2025

About the Couple

Bryn and Brandon have a love story that started long before either of them knew it would turn into forever. Their dads were college friends, and at just 14 and 15 years old, the two tagged along to help their dads pull a prank on one of their mutual friends. What began as a lighthearted moment grew into a friendship that lasted through the years — and, ten years later, that friendship blossomed into something much more.

One of their first dates was to goat yoga — a fun, memorable experience that perfectly captures their playful energy together.

Years later, while hiking to Secret Falls in Kauai, Hawaii, Brandon proposed in front of the waterfall — a breathtaking and unforgettable moment that began their next chapter.

The Season & Color Palette

Bryn and Brandon celebrated their wedding in October, right in the heart of Indiana’s breathtaking fall season. In recent years, October has quickly become one of the most sought-after wedding months — and for good reason. With the trees bursting into shades of amber, crimson, and gold, the natural landscape creates a picture-perfect backdrop for wedding photos, and their day was no exception.

To complement the autumn scenery, the couple chose a rich and elegant fall-inspired palette of dark navy blue, burgundy, and cream. This combination beautifully balanced depth and warmth — the navy added a touch of sophistication, burgundy brought the romantic fall flair, and the cream tied everything together with softness and charm.

The result was a stunning “fall glam” atmosphere that felt timeless, cozy, and truly reflective of the season they love.

Florals & Bouquet

The florals were a breathtaking focal point of the day, thoughtfully designed and artfully crafted by The Seedlings. Their work brought Bryn and Brandon’s “fall glam” vision to life through rich, romantic tones and lush seasonal textures. A blend of burgundy, cream, and soft neutral blooms, paired with elegant greenery, created a warm yet elevated look that felt perfectly aligned with the October setting.

Bryn’s bouquet was truly a statement piece — full, dimensional, and designed with natural movement for a modern-romantic feel. It captured the essence of fall without leaning overly rustic, maintaining a polished and glamorous aesthetic.

The ceremony florals were nothing short of spectacular. Two large black pillars framed the altar space, adorned with cascading floral arrangements that added drama, romance, and depth to the natural rock backdrop. The aisle was lined with beautifully arranged florals, creating an enchanting walkway that welcomed guests into the space with elegance and intention.

From the bridal bouquet to the ceremony arrangements and reception florals, every design detail felt cohesive, intentional, and unforgettable.

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place outdoors at Woolery Mill, framed by its iconic stone backdrop — a setting that already holds so much character and charm. With elegant white chairs, lush florals by The Seedlings, and the natural texture of the limestone behind them, the space looked absolutely stunning and perfectly aligned with Bryn and Brandon’s fall glam vision.

One of the most memorable elements of their ceremony was the couple’s desire to ensure their guests felt truly included. In a fun and meaningful twist, they decided to hide the wedding rings under a guest’s chair, choosing someone at random to “discover” them and bring them forward during the ceremony. As planners, we carefully taped the rings to an aisle seat near the front so it would be occupied. It was such a unique and interactive touch, and guests absolutely loved it.

The wedding party complemented the setting beautifully — cohesive, supportive, and full of joy. To make the day even more heartfelt, Bryn’s brother officiated the ceremony, adding a personal connection that made the vows feel intimate, meaningful, and true to who they are as a couple.

Blessinger Entertainment provided the ceremony music, creating the perfect soundtrack as guests arrived, the wedding party walked the aisle, and Bryn made her gorgeous entrance. The Seedlings’ florals completed the space with cascading arrangements on two black pillars and floral accents lining the aisle, adding romance and softness to the bold backdrop.

Every moment felt intentional, personal, and authentically them — a ceremony that was not only beautiful to witness, but unforgettable to experience.

The Dress

Bryn’s bridal look was nothing short of stunning. She chose a strapless, all-over sequin, form-fitting gown featuring a graceful train and a chic leg slit — the perfect balance of timeless elegance and modern glam. The dress complemented her beautifully, catching the light with every movement and creating a radiant, show-stopping bridal moment from the aisle to the dance floor.

Her gown, the “Gia” dress by Made With Love, was purchased at House of White in Newburgh, Indiana. From the moment Bryn found it, she knew it was the one and couldn’t wait to wear it on her big day. She loved her dress so much that she wore it the entire night — no outfit change needed!

The gown perfectly embodied her style: sophisticated, sparkly, confident, and unforgettable — just like the bride herself.

The Venue

Bryn and Brandon chose the iconic Woolery Mill in Bloomington, Indiana — a venue brought to life by One World Catering and known for being one of the most unique wedding locations in the state. Once a historic limestone mill, the property now offers a stunning blend of industrial charm and modern elegance, making it an unforgettable backdrop for any celebration.

With its soaring ceilings, exposed architectural elements, and the breathtaking outdoor stone courtyard, Woolery Mill provides an atmosphere that feels both grand and intimate. Couples have the opportunity to enjoy expansive indoor and outdoor spaces, allowing for seamless transitions throughout the wedding day and endless photo opportunities.

Beyond its visual appeal, Woolery Mill is designed with the guest experience in mind — offering professional event services, catering expertise, and a layout that adapts beautifully to each couple’s unique vision. For Bryn and Brandon, it was the perfect setting to host a celebration that was personal, stylish, and truly one-of-a-kind.

Cocktail Hour & a Private Dinner for Two

Woolery Mill offers the unique benefit of both indoor and outdoor spaces for cocktail hour, giving guests room to mingle, explore, and enjoy the atmosphere. Bryn and Brandon maximized this beautifully with an experience-focused cocktail hour full of personal touches and interactive elements that made guests feel truly included in the celebration.

Guests were greeted with several thoughtful activities and favors as the festivities began. One of the standout features was a live watercolor artist, who snapped quick photos of guests and transformed them into charming miniature paintings to take home — a one-of-a-kind keepsake that guests absolutely adored. Alongside this, guests could also pick up cat and dog treats to bring back to their furry friends waiting at home, a sweet nod to pet lovers and a fun alternative to traditional favors.

The couple included two guest book options, each offering a different way to share memories. A Polaroid guest book allowed guests to take photos, write a personal note, and add it to a keepsake album Bryn and Brandon will treasure for years to come. The second was an After the Tone” phone guest book, where guests could pick up the receiver and leave a voice message of love, advice, or laughter.

On the patio, guests enjoyed a relaxed and fun atmosphere featuring cornhole and a cigar bar, complete with personalized matchboxes — a detail guests couldn’t stop talking about. The cigar bar was a major hit and created a laid-back lounge moment within the celebration.

While guests enjoyed cocktail hour, Bryn and Brandon shared what became one of the most cherished memories of the day: a private dinner for just the two of them. After a quick visit (and adorable photos) with their sweet pup, the newlyweds slipped away to enjoy their first meal as husband and wife in a quiet, intimate setting before joining the reception. Bryn shared that this was her must-have moment and her favorite part of the entire day.

If there’s one recommendation future couples should take from their experience, it’s this: schedule a private meal together. It allows you to slow down, breathe, and soak in the joy of the day — just the two of you.

Reception Design & Décor

From the moment guests stepped toward the reception space, the attention to detail was unmistakable. A black and white seating chart greeted guests at the entrance, surrounded by gorgeous florals lovingly designed by the mother of the groom — a meaningful touch that blended personal involvement with visual beauty.

Inside, the reception design carried the “fall glam” vision through every detail. Each table was dressed in crisp white linens, paired with burgundy napkins and burgundy charger plates, creating a rich and cohesive color story throughout the room. In lieu of one traditional cake, the couple opted for a cake on each table, doubling as both décor and dessert — a charming and interactive twist that guests adored.

Tables were accented with limestone table numbers (a perfect nod to the venue’s history), delicate bud vase florals, and large candles enclosed in hurricane vases, adding height, glow, and romantic ambiance to the room. At each place setting, guests found a trifold program featuring the dinner menu, wedding party list, and thoughtful details to enjoy as they settled into their seats.

The reception space also included intentional areas for both fun and photos. The bar featured two signature cocktails, giving guests a personalized drink experience reflective of the couple’s tastes. In one corner, a plush red velvet couch sat between the ceremony florals, creating a pop-up photo lounge where guests could capture memories all night long — both stylish and sentimental.

The design struck the perfect balance of elegance, warmth, and personality, making every detail feel connected and purposeful.

Dinner & Dessert

Dinner for Bryn and Brandon’s celebration was provided by One World Catering via a buffet-style service, allowing guests to enjoy a relaxed, flavorful meal. The menu was BBQ-centered, with a variety of hearty options, but the crowd favorite was the creamy, indulgent mac and cheese — a comfort food highlight that had everyone coming back for seconds.

Dessert was a unique and playful experience for the guests. Each table featured a different cake flavor — chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, or funfetti — encouraging guests to mingle and share bites if they wanted to try something new. It was a fun and interactive twist that made dessert feel like part of the celebration rather than just a standard course.

The main cake for Bryn and Brandon was a stunning funfetti creation, adorned with white icing, fresh florals, and a sleek black cake topper featuring their last name. It perfectly captured the couple’s personality: playful, elegant, and full of charm.

From the savory buffet to the table cakes and main cake, the dinner and dessert experience felt personal, delicious, and memorable — another layer of fun and detail that made the day truly theirs.

Reception Highlights & Entertainment

The reception was packed with memorable moments that reflected Bryn and Brandon’s creativity, hospitality, and love for keeping their guests entertained and included from start to finish.

Before stepping onto the dance floor, Bryn made a smart and stylish shoe change, slipping into something more comfortable so she could fully enjoy the night. This quick switch happened before the first dance, ensuring she could move with ease and soak in every moment without distraction — a tip future brides will be glad they followed!

With comfort secured, the couple shared a heartfelt first dance, surrounded by family and friends. It was a romantic, emotional, and joy-filled moment that set the tone for an unforgettable evening.

In the spirit of guest involvement, Bryn and Brandon added an unexpected and playful twist by doing a random drawing of names to select who would sign their marriage license. It created a wave of excitement as guests waited to hear the winning name — and made one guest feel incredibly honored to take part in such a meaningful role.

Once the formalities wrapped, the celebration truly kicked into high gear — and Blessinger Entertainment threw the best party. The dance floor stayed full all night thanks to the upbeat music, fun transitions, and interactive moments that kept guests engaged and energized.

To make sure everyone could dance comfortably, the couple provided flip flops for guests to change into — a thoughtful touch that ensured no sore feet stood in the way of a good time. Add in the light-up foam sticks passed out on the dance floor, and the party instantly transformed into a vibrant, high-energy celebration filled with glowing photos, laughter, and pure fun.

Later in the evening, Bryn and Brandon surprised guests once again with a t-shirt toss — a spirited alternative to the traditional bouquet or garter toss. Branded t-shirts were launched into the crowd, creating cheers and excitement as guests jumped to catch them, making for one of the most entertaining moments of the night.

From start to finish, the reception was everything the couple hoped for: engaging, personal, high-energy, and filled with unforgettable memories for both them and their guests.

The Final Dance & Sparkler Send-Off

As the night began to wind down, Bryn and Brandon shared one last, intimate moment together — a private final dance before the send-off. The guests were ushered outside to prepare, leaving the newlyweds alone on the dance floor in the softly lit reception space. It was quiet, tender, and full of emotion — a beautiful contrast to the high-energy celebration that came before it. In that brief pause, they were able to take in the joy of the day, reflect on everything that had just unfolded, and savor their first night as husband and wife in complete peace.

After their private moment, the celebration concluded with a sparkler send-off that lit up the night. Family and friends lined the walkway outside Woolery Mill, sparklers in hand, cheering as Bryn and Brandon made their way through the glowing path. It was a picture-perfect ending — joyful, cinematic, and full of love — the kind of send-off that felt straight out of a movie.

Photography & Videography

Love the photos you see throughout this blog? It’s no surprise — for many brides, photography is one of the most important aspects of the entire wedding day, and Bryn and Brandon chose an incredible team. Sarah Moore Photography captured the day with such elegance and intention. Sarah is not only talented behind the lens, but she is also a joy to work alongside — calm, kind, creative, and always in the right place at the right moment.

To complement the photography, Ziegler Films provided stunning videography. They were equally wonderful to work with and delivered beautiful coverage of every meaningful moment. Both teams were on-site the entire day, going above and beyond to ensure that the couple received full, thoughtful documentation of their wedding — from emotional first looks to the sparkler send-off and everything in between.

These visual artists helped preserve the magic of the day forever, and their work is truly a gift to the couple and their families.

Why You Should Use a Wedding Planner

Planning a wedding isn’t just about picking pretty things — it’s about creating a seamless, joyful experience for the couple and their guests. For Bryn and Brandon, my goal was to make sure their day felt effortless, organized, and full of intention.

Behind the scenes, I created detailed timelines for both the wedding day and the rehearsal dinner, complete with layouts for every space. Throughout the planning process, I offered guidance, shared insight, and stepped in whenever anything felt overwhelming — from building their seating chart display to updating their wedding website to editing guest lists and tiny details that can easily become stressful.

I served as the main point of contact for all vendors, confirming final details and distributing timelines and layouts to ensure everyone was perfectly aligned. I ran the rehearsal, delivered welcome bags to the hotel, brought in the couple’s décor items, and set up every detail on the wedding day.

During the event itself, I managed every moving part — cueing the ceremony, fixing the back of Bryn’s dress before she walked down the aisle (and reminding her to hug her dad at the end!), guiding family during photos, keeping guests out of private areas, supervising transitions, and ensuring the night stayed perfectly on track. At the end of the celebration, I packed up all décor, safeguarded the marriage license, and loaded everything carefully into their car.

A planner isn’t just a luxury — it’s peace of mind, emotional support, organization, and the freedom to be fully present in one of the biggest moments of your life.

Final Thoughts

Bryn and Brandon’s wedding was the perfect blend of creativity, intention, and unforgettable moments — a day filled with love, laughter, beautiful details, and the kind of magic that only happens when a couple pours their hearts into celebrating with the people they love most.

It was truly an honor to be part of their story, to help bring their vision to life, and to ensure the day unfolded exactly as they imagined. If you’re planning your own wedding and want a day that feels just as smooth, meaningful, and joy-filled, I would love to help make that happen.

Here’s to Bryn and Brandon — may your marriage be filled with endless adventures, new memories, and a lifetime of flirting, laughter, and love.
